Why was my foreign (USD/EUR) virtual bank account request declined/taking too long to get approved?

1. Unclear or Unreadable Document

We must be able to clearly verify your identity. If the document on file is blurry, poorly lit, cropped, submitted in black and white, or provided as a screenshot, your application may be declined.

How to fix it: Please contact Lotus Support and request access to re-upload a clear, high-quality, color photo of your original document. Make sure all details are fully visible and easy to read.

2. Temporary or Unsupported Document

Temporary IDs, NIN slips, black-and-white scans, photocopies, or screenshots are not accepted for verification.

How to fix it: Please contact Lotus Support and request access to upload a valid, original identity document, such as:

  • National ID

  • Passport

  • Driver’s license

  • Voter’s card

Make sure the document is submitted as a clear, high-quality color photo.

3. Restricted Country

Due to regulatory and compliance requirements, Lotus is unable to provide USD or EUR bank accounts in certain countries read Restricted Geos.

4. Altered or Edited Document

For security and compliance reasons, any document that appears to be edited, modified, or tampered with cannot be accepted.

5. Expired Document

Your identity document must be valid at the time of submission. Expired documents cannot be accepted.
